International Merit Scholarships for Undergraduate Studies

Awarding Body: Iowa State University (USA)

Amount: $4, 000 – $8, 000 per year (renewable)

Deadline: March 1, 2017 (for Fall 2017)

Eligibility Criteria:
– Incoming international freshmen applicants and international transfer applicants with fewer than 66 transferrable semester credits.
– Minimum GPA 3.0 (on a scale of 4.0)
– SAT is not required, but advantageous
– CV (listing all achievements)
– Letter of Recommendation
– A 500-word essay

Scholarships for International Undergraduate Students

Awarding Body: University of Buffalo (USA)

Amount: $2, 000 – $10, 000 per year (renewable)

Deadline: March 15, 2017

Eligibility Criteria:

– Open to only full-time freshman international students
– Ideally applicants should possess 88% in High School and above average SAT/ACT scores.

Tara and Jasubhai Mehta Fellowships for Summer Program in Mathematics PROMYS) at Boston University (USA)

PROMYS is a 6-week challenging summer program at the Boston University. The course is designed for the motivated high school students to explore the in-depth world of mathematics in a supportive and creative community. PROMYS 2017 will run from July 2 – August 12, 2017.

Awarding Body: Nick Nash, Phalgun Raju, the Indira Foundation and Morph.org

Eligibility Criteria: Talented high school students from India (Indian citizens only) in the age range of 15 – 19.

Amount Covered: The fellowship will cover Tuition Fees, Accommodation, Meals, return airfare, visa application fees and books (as per the program requirement).

Global Excellence Graduate Scholarship – South Asia

Awarding Body: University College Dublin (Ireland)

Amount Covered: 100% (7 schemes) & 50% (7 schemes) of Tuition Fees

Deadline: February 28, 2017 (applicants must submit complete applications by this date)

Subjects Covered: All Master programs; excluding MBA, joint Masters, Clinical and Online programs.

Eligibility Criteria:

– Candidates will be selected on the basis of merit along with a holistic review of their scholarship application

– Applicants should be citizens and currently resident in one of the following South Asian countries, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Mauritius, Maldives, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Réunion and Seychelles

Aga Khan Foundation International Scholarship Program

Awarding Body: Aga Khan Foundation

Amount Covered: 100% of Tuition Fees

Deadline: March 31, 2017 | March 13, 2017 (for students from Bangladesh) and March 16, 2017 (for students from India & Pakistan)

Subjects Covered: All Postgraduate (Masters & PhD) programs.

Selection Criteria:
– Candidates must possess excellent academic track record, demonstrate genuine financial need, and must obtain admission at a very reputed university, or must study a program that is relevant to the Aga Khan Foundation’s focus areas.

Notes:

– The Foundation assists students with tuition fees and living expenses only.
– Funding for PhD programmes is only provided for the first two years of study, after which the students are expected to find alternative sources of assistance.
– Half of the scholarship amount is considered as a loan, which must be reimbursed with an annual service charge of 5%. A guarantor is required to co-sign the loan agreement. The payback period is five years, starting six months after the study period funded by the Aga Khan Foundation.

Goa Education Trust Scholarships (Now Open to all Indian Nationals)
