Types of Student Visa for Individual Countries

Visa for Study in USA

For international students eyeing the United States of America, please note that students accepted into a full-time graduate or undergraduate program at an accredited US university/college need an F-1 Student Visa.

The J1 Visa is a great option for people who want to visit the United States. This visa allows you to gain experience by receiving on-the-job training, teaching, or conducting research.

Visa to Study in UK

To gain entry to the United Kingdom as an international student, you will need to register and apply for a Tier 4 General Student visa at the GOV.UK website

Student Visa for Canada

Student Visa for Australia

To study in Australia, you will need to obtain a Subclass 500 student visa.

A student for a German University would need to apply for a National Visa as a student.

Student Visa for Ireland

Ireland grants two types of visas to international students:

  • C Study Visa: For study needing less than three months of stay
  • D Study Visa: For study requiring more than three months of stay

Study Visa for Singapore

Besides the visa, the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Singapore requires one to obtain a Student Pass to enter/study in Singapore.

You need not file your application for your Student Pass. Your destination university/institution will file your application on your behalf to the Singapore Immigration and Checkpoint Authority (ICA).
