Fast becoming an essential skill
Analytical skills have become imperative across all industries from banking to sports and the capabilities are evolving rapidly. Today, there is a growing need for professionals with prodigious analytic skills with businesses centering towards being data driven, the need for an expert who can understand and interpret data is becoming vital. The lack of data efficient professionals in the industry is coming under the scanner and hence the growing demand for such courses by working professionals across industries. To cater to this, a lot of institutes in India and across the world have started offering courses on analytics. But for a working professional it is not easy to take up a regular degree course while pursuing a career, and that’s where online education comes as a viable solution.
Rise in women enrollment
Aditya Malik, CEO, Talentedge says “We have seen a rise in the number of women opting for all courses, and also a recent rise specifically for analytical courses. It is a very suitable and relevant skill set for a career in data sciences and consulting. It is encouraging to see so many women sign up for analytical courses; this will truly better their professional standing. A suitable mix of skills can be acquired without the hassle of taking time off from places of employment, and that’s what makes these courses really appealing to working professionals.”
It was additionally observed that students enrollment from the Southern regions of India was more than 50% this year, increasing significantly as compared to the last. The survey also revealed a major shift of under-graduated opting for certification courses than opting for a post-graduation degree. The overall rise in Data Analytics courses was pegged at 62% this year with extremely positive growth projections.
