U.S. News & World Report announced its top colleges for 2018. While the rankings are open to intrepretation and has its fair share of critics, it can be used as a starting point for any college list. The US News ranks schools using quantitative factors — like graduation and retention rates — and qualitative factors — like peer assessment surveys from college presidents and deans of admissions.
